Vegan Chicken Tikka Masala

Okok so I’m not sure if this is how people traditionally make it! But it’s just a recipe I made of how I like it 😎 so don’t come for me saying it’s all wrong😭😂

1 large red onion

6-7 cloves of garlic

1/2 thumb ginger

1 tbsp tomato purée

1 tsp turmeric

2 tsp ground cumin

1 tbsp paprika

2 tsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp coriander

2 tsp garam masala (add later)

2 packets @this.uk chick’n

1 cup crushed tomatoes (I used a textured passata)

1 cup vegan cream (I used alpro soya cream)

1 tsp sugar

Fresh coriander, S&P to taste

Anweisungen

Add a generous amount of oil and soften the onions in a pinch of salt

Then add the ginger and garlic and soften together

Add all the spices *APART FROM* the garam masala - we add this later

Fry the spices for a couple minutes, then add the tomato purée and fry for 2 minutes, then add a splash of waterto form a paste, and a pinch of salt and fry on a low heat for 3-4 minutes

Add the vegan chick’n and coat well and fry as per cooking instructions (fry the chicken on a high heat so there’s little burnt bits on there, tastes so good!!)

Add the cream and crushed tomatoes and simmer for a couple mins

Add the sugar & garam masala (and food colouring if you’re using it) and simmer on a low heat for 5-7 mins

Taste your sauce and adjust to your liking!

Serve with fresh coriander, rice and some delicious garlicky bread!
