1 ½ - 2lbs of pork butt or pork shoulder, separated into 4 equal chunks
1 inch of ginger, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4 tbsp lee kum kee char siu sauce
1 tbsp five spice powder
1 tsp white pepper powder
1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
honey, to glaze
Anweisungen
Place pork butt into a mixing bowl, and incorporate ginger, garlic, char siu sauce, five spice powder, white pepper powder, soy sauce (optional)
For best results, marinate the pork overnight (I was impatient so I vacuum sealed the pork and waited an hour)
Preheat oven to 400F
Place pork into the oven and cook for 15m
Check in every 2-3m to flip the pork and baste with honey
