Spaghetti Carbonara

225g Spaghetti

110g Streaky Bacon, chopped

2 large Eggs, plus 1 extra Yolk

22ml Olive Oil

15g Parmesan, grated plus extra to serve

Salt and Pepper, to taste

Vejledning

To cook the pasta, place it in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water to which 7.5ml Olive Oil has been added. This should take 8-10 minutes.

In the meantime, heat the remaining olive oil in a pan and fry the bacon until the fat starts to run. Whisk the eggs in a bowl, adding some black pepper and 15g of Parmesan to the bowl.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain in a colander then add it to the pan with the egg mixture, turning off the heat and letting the residual heat cook the egg. Quickly serve and sprinkle over additional Parmesan.

Additionally, you could add 30ml of Double Cream to the sauce in the last step, or add chopped onion or crushed garlic to the bacon while cooking.
