Ingredienser

  • Rigatoni/Penne Pasta

  • 4 sweet Italian sausage

  • 1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes

  • 8 ounces tomato sauce

  • 5-6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 1 Tablespoon dried basil (or

  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves but add it at the end)

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

  • heavy cream

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Vejledning

  1. Cook pasta in pot

  2. Preheat oven to 500

  3. Heat oil in cast iron

  4. Cook Italian sausage (remove from casing if needed)

  5. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté

  6. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, and oregano.

  7. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 10 min stirring often.

  8. Mix in heavy cream and cooked pasta

  9. Sprinkle mozzarella on top

  10. Place in oven for 10 minutes until golden brown
