Sweet Potato "Cheeze-It" Crackers

11/2 cups all purpose flour (195g)

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup sweet potato puree (240g)

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

I teaspoon smoked paprika

1/3 cup grated cheese of choice

1-2 teaspoons of salt (I would say optional but if you're kids are like men then this is a non negotiable)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Start by mixing with a spoon, then use your hands to knead everything together until a dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little extra flour, one tablespoon at a time. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Divide the dough into two portions and roll it out on a floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Depending on how crispy you want your crackers, you can roll them

Use a knife, pizza cutter, or cookie cutter to cut the dough into cracker shapes, then transfer them onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, then flip them over and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy around the edges. Add salt once done and let them cool completely before serving.
