Crispy Sushi Tacos and Honestly

Ingredienser

For the rice:

2 cups cooked rice(I used Trader Joe’s microwave jasmine rice)

2 tsp sugar

1 tbsp rice vinegar

Mix until sticky

Vejledning

For the cornstarch paste:1/2 cup flour1/2 cup cornstarch1 cup water

Mix until smooth.

You’ll also need:Panko crumbsHalf sheet nori paperYour favorite sushi fillingsSauces + sesame seeds for topping

Wet your fingers slightly and spread the sushi rice onto one side of the nori paper.

Flip over and brush the non-rice side with the cornstarch paste.

Press into panko crumbs until fully coated.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the panko side for about 2–3 minutes until deeply golden and crispy.

Remove and let cool slightly.

Fill the rice side with your favorite sushi fillings, drizzle with sauce, roll like a taco and serve immediately.

These are the kind of things you make “just to try” and suddenly you’re standing over the stove making a second batch.
