Ingredienser

100ml Cooking Oil (for frying)

150g Cabe rawit merah (Bird’s eye chili), cut

100g Cabe Merah Besar (big red chilis), cut

15 shallots, slice

5 garlic cloves, slice

100g tomato, diced

2tbsp Terasi Bakar (grilled fermented shrimp paste)

1tsp salt

2tsp Gula Merah (palm sugar, but if you can’t find it, use regular sugar)

4 Jeruk Limau (basically it’s a small lime specially for sambal, but if you can’t find it, just use regular lime - or pass)

How to Cook:

Heat up the oil, then throw in and sauté all the chilis, shallots, garlic and tomatoes until fragrant. Drain the oil then put in the mortar and pestle.

Add the Terasi Bakar (grilled shrimp paste), salt and sugar, then grind until soft. Serve with slices of lime.

This is a recipe that I tried out from @endeus.tv 😁 not bad at all!
