The Shin Ramyun You Never Knew You Needed

1 pack Shin Ramyun

2 cups water

1 egg yolk

½ Tbsp minced garlic

½ Tbsp chopped spring onion

1 Tbsp mayonnaise

Your choice of protein (optional)

1–2 soft-boiled eggs (optional)

A few bok choy leaves (optional)

2 Tbsp chili oil

Boil the noodles

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook until tender.

Transfer the noodles to a bowl, saving the hot noodle water—it will be the base for your creamy broth.

(Optional) Blanch the protein & veggies

In the same pot, briefly cook your chosen protein and bok choy until just done.

Make the creamy sauce

In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolk, Shin Ramyun seasoning, minced garlic, chopped spring onion, mayonnaise, and sizzling chili oil until smooth and combined.

Create the broth

Pour in about 1½ cups of the reserved hot noodle water. Stir gently until the sauce becomes rich and creamy.

Add the noodles

Return the noodles to the bowl and toss until evenly coated in the spicy, creamy sauce.

Top it off (optional but highly recommended!)

Finish with a soft-boiled egg, your chosen protein, bok choy, and a final drizzle of chili oil for an extra flavor kick.

Tip: Adjust the noodle water to get your perfect broth—thick and saucy, or light and soupy. Not a fan of raw egg yolk? Just skip it!
