Flaky, Golden Pastry on the Outside… Warm, Creamy Seafood Tu

Seafood Filling
1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
1 cup crab meat
Cream Base
½ cup cream cheese, softened
¼ cup shredded mozzarella
2 tbsp grated Parmesan
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Pastry
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (10–12 inches)
1 large egg, beaten

Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and parsley until smooth.
Gently fold in shrimp and crab to keep the texture soft and chunky.
Prepare the pastry
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lay puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Spread the filling along the center third, leaving space on the sides.
Form the braid
Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the pastry.
Fold strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid.
Egg wash & bake
Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden, puffed, and crisp.
Rest & serve
Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Finish with parsley and a light sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.
